Webb Anderson has been active in the sport of agility since 1993. He and his wife, Leslie, have been teaching agility since 1994. Leslie and Webb are AKC agility judges and serve as Voluntary Measuring Officials for AKC.
They

Webb's
first agility dog, Beau, was a pioneer in the sport of dog agility
in the Southeast. Beau competed in agility until 10 ½
years of age and earned 616 points and 26 Double Qs toward his
MACH title before passing away in 2000. Beau was one of the
first dogs in the Southeast to earn the Master Agility Excellent
and Master Excellent Jumpers titles. He was ranked in the Top
5 Miniature Schnauzers in Delaney Rankings throughout his agility
career, and competed at numerous AKC Agility National Championship
Shows, tying for 4th place in 1997.
Webb currently competes with Nigel, the #1 AKC Agility Miniature Schnauzer and #1 AKC
Agility Terrier for 2005. Nigel has been the #1 AKC Agility Miniature Schnauzer and #1
or #2 AKC Agility Terrier every year since 2002. In 2005, Nigel made his debut in the
Top 20 Agility All Breed listing, coming in at #16 in the nation. Nigel was a Finalist
in the AKC Agility National Championships in 2005 and 2003, coming in 4th overall in
2003. Nigel has earned placements or wins during individual rounds at the following
prestigious events: 4th place in jumpers at the USA World Team Invitational Tournament,
1st place in Round 3 of the AKC Agility Nationals, 1st place in the Team Competition at
the AKC Companion Events Tournament, and several ISC events including 1st place in the
14¨ division at the Springfield, Mass Iams-Sponsored ISC event. Nigel’s most recent
honor was placing 5th at the 2006 World Team tryouts. Nigel earned his MACH4 in February
2006, with more than 10,000 MACH points.
Webb
and his wife Leslie have been published in both "Front
& Finish" and "Clean Run" magazines. Webb
teaches agility handling seminars throughout the country and
offers private lessons to beginning as well as advanced-level competitors. Webb's
focus is on intuitive training and efficient handling.
Webb
regularly serves as a guest lecturer at the Auburn University
School of Veterinary medicine, speaking at symposiums for practicing
veterinarians and veterinary students. Webb trains veterinary
students in the Auburn University Shelter Dog Program, teaching
them how to temperament-test and train shelter dogs with the
goal of improving adoption retention rates. Webb also works
with the Canine Sports Medicine program at the Auburn University
Veterinary School on agility-related research projects.
In
addition to agility, Webb & Leslie show in conformation,
compete in obedience and participate in pet therapy.
